As general manager of Atlantic Flushing & Testing Inc., Paul Mitchell brings over 25 years of management experience to his current position. Throughout his career he has been involved with several successful companies within Atlantic Canada, either as an owner or partner. The focus of the businesses has been typically associated with the fluid power industry, specializing in the service lines of hydraulic, fuel/lube oil flushing and pressure testing. Paul has over 35 years experience performing hydraulic and mechanical design, maintenance and troubleshooting as a certified Red Seal industrial mechanic and qualified hydraulic technician, which he has applied across numerous industrial settings including marine, commercial, manufacturing, offshore, primary industries and renewable energies. Paul is a graduate of NBCC with a diploma in Mechanical Industrial Technology.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a BA.Sc. in Civil Engineering and Mount Allison University with a B.Sc in Math and Physics. His experience includes preparation of engineering standards and specifications for existing and new processes, creating detailed engineering drawings, development of safety manuals, management of contracts for equipment fabrication, and client support from the design stage through system commissioning. He has planned and executed chemical cleaning projects at power plants, oil refineries, shipyards and LNG plants that range from $10,000 through $3 million. He has over 30 years of experience managing projects across North America and Europe.
Malcolm possesses a background in both engineering and chemistry which he has applied throughout his career in the following industrial sectors: petrochemical, pulp and paper, offshore and marine, power utilities and manufacturing. He brings over 20 years of project management experience to the operational and business development aspects of the company, primarily associated with service line of chemical cleaning, but also extends to hydraulic flushing and waste management.
His focus is that of providing technical and engineering support with emphasis on: client bid preparation and drawings, pre-commissioning and maintenance outage planning, safe work practices and procedures, scheduling labor and equipment requirements. Malcolm graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in chemistry and later from TUNS, obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering.
Jeff is a graduate of NSCC as a Marine Fitter. He has over 30 years of experience in ship and industrial repairs around the world. As service manager, he oversees the daily operations of the shop and off-site projects by providing technical, estimating and scheduling support.
Gary graduated from NSCC Straight Area Campus in 2004 with a diploma in the Industrial Mechanic trade, Gary is now a Red Seal Industrial Mechanic. He has over 15 years in the hydraulic/mechanical field, mostly involved in the marine industry. Gary has been employed with Atlantic Flushing & Testing Inc. since 2006. He’s been involved with all aspects of the company, from a Service Technician to Business Development.
Steve currently serves as our Corporate Health & Safety Manager. He obtained his professional designation in 2010 as a Certified Health and Safety Professional and oversees safety training and adherence to the AFT Safety, Quality & Security Programs. Steve has provided safety support throughout Atlantic Canada and in Alberta. His knowledge in safety covers industrial, commercial and marine applications.
Lisa has over 18 years’ experience working in the marine, industrial and commercial construction industry. She holds a diploma in Accounting and Computer Applications and is a Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of Head Office, Lisa is responsible for all aspects of the accounting, payroll and human resource functions for Atlantic Flushing & Testing Inc.
Lisa is a graduate of NSCC with a certificate in Business Information and Technology and a diploma in Office Administration. She has over 20 years’ experience in the retail, dental and construction industry. As an integral part of the Atlantic Flushing & Testing Inc. team, Lisa provides accounting and administration support, taking pride in delivering excellent customer service to both her internal and external customers.
